Conference venue and accomodation

The conference venue Lovisenberg Diaconal University college (LDH) is located within a part of Oslo named St. Hanshaugen. It is a trendy and friendly area. It is located within a walkable distance from the downtown accommodations (25 - 30 minutes). LDHs address is Lovisenberggata 15B, 0456 Oslo.

For those of you not wishing to walk, buses are easy to find and departure very frequently during the day. For example, bus 37 towards Lovisenberg (Geitmyrsveien) departures at Jernbarnetorget just besides the central station. The same bus has a bus stop at Hammersborgsgata which only 2 -3 minutes’ walk from the Folketeateret Clarion Collection. Travelling by bus requires that you download the bus company app Ruter as busses (or trams) don’t sell tickets onboard.

For conference participants who wish to stay at the Conference hotel Folketeateret Clarion Collection we have managed to negotiate a substantial price reduction for several rooms with breakfast included. We advise you to book in good advance, as the number of rooms with this price is limited. State boking number 1111GR012210 when you contact them, preferable via cc.folketeateret@choice.no, to get the reduced price. Reduced prises are: standard single room 1540 NOK and standard double room 1740 NOK. Please note, to benefit from the lower prices at EANS hotel, between 23rd of June until the 9th of July, you need to book your accomodation no later than the 15th of April. After that we can no longer ensure room availability and normal hotel prices will be back in place. You are of course free to book any hotel you like but the negotiated price at this Clarion hotel is very favourable, especially considering regular Oslo hotel prices.

More information about hotel booking is available at the EANS homepage in the document named Information Faculty and Conference Participants. We strongly recommend that you book your room in good advance. Most hotel rooms in central Oslo are usually booked up in summertime.

Arrival registration will be in the main lobby of the Lovisenberg Diaconal University College. The registration desk will be open between 8.00 – 9.00 hours on the 5th of July and the scientific programme begins at 9 o’clock. The conference will close 3.30 hours on the 6th of July.

Deadlines for registration

Online registration will be open from 6th March until the 30th  of June via the European Academy of Nursing Science homepage. Registration will be confirmed by e-mail.

Language

The official language at the conference is English. All presentations and workshops will be in English.

Meals and social events

Registration includes morning/afternoon coffee and lunch for both conference days (5th – 6th July). A welcome mingle in the evening 5th hosted by Lovisenberg Diaconal Foundation and sponsored by the Norwegian Nurses Organisation, Cappelen Damm and VAR Health Care are also part of the event.
