Om gruppen

Forskningsgruppens fokus er forskning på ulike komplekse pasienttilstander, samhandling med helsetjenesten og pasienterfaringer. Gruppen arbeider også med teoriutvikling relevant for noen av fokusområdene.

Forskningsgruppens målsetting for 2025-2028:

  • Være et forum for konstruktiv tilbakemelding i alle deler av forskningsprosessen.
  • Være et forum for etablering av forskningssamarbeid og kompetanseheving.
  • Knytte kontakt med samarbeidspartnere nasjonalt og internasjonalt som kan bidra som eksterne medlemmer av gruppen.
  • Økt forskningsaktivitet og publisering hos medlemmene.
  • Tilgjengeliggjøre forskningsgruppens prosjekter for involvering av masterstudenter.

Prosjekter

The aim of the study is to explore patients’ and healthcare professionals’ experiences and perspectives using remote home care (RHC) in palliative homecare to patients with cancer. Further, aspects of importance when implementing a technological solution when caring for patients in palliative phase will be explored.

The overall aim of this research proposal is to increase the knowledge about COVID-19 patients during and after ICU treatment. The main objectives are:

  • Describe the mortality and morbidity of COVID-19 patients admitted to the ICU
  • Examine physical, psychological and mental health challenges in ICU survivors of COVID19 during the first year after ICU admission

The aim of this study is to examine the role of nutritional status for patient reported outcome and clinical outcome in long term survivors participating in a randomized nutritional intervention study (the NASQ-study).

Describe fatigue levels in childhood cancer survivors. Compare fatigue levels in adolescent cancer survivors with parents’ proxy rating and healthy controls and examine the interplay of fatigue with associated factors provided in the PACCS study (Physical Activity in Childhood Cancer Survivors).

Delprosjekter:

The study has three sub-studies.

In sub-study I, the aim is to explore the interaction between the parents and nurses during guided interventions in SFR in three different phases of the NICU stay.

In sub-study II, the aim is to explore the parents` experience of interaction with the nurses in SFR.

In sub-study III the aim is to explore how the nurses experience the interaction with the parents in SFR and how culture influences the parent-nurse interaction.

Test if the use of a patient specific holographic heart visualization session added to a standard patient education program, provides better illness- perception and increased health literacy (primary outcomes), increased self-efficacy, empowerment, disease knowledge and quality of life (secondary outcomes) compared to the standard patient education program.

The overall aim of this research project is to better understand patients who have attempted suicide in the ICU setting; including their experiences of being in the ICU and the symptom experience during their ICU stay. We will collect data about PICS-related symptoms and level of hopelessness at three and six months after ICU admission. The present study has two sub-studies, using different methodological approaches.
